Improving Access to Psychological Services (IAPT)

Waltham Forest Talking Therapies

Waltham Forest has a talking therapies service which is called improving access to psychological therapies (IAPT). This is a free NHS service that can support with a range of issues including anxiety, bereavement, depression, stress and relationship problems. To access this service, simply complete the online patient referral. Alternatively you can call directly on the number below and an initial telephone appointment can be set up. Through this consultation, the treatment options will be discussed. This service is confidential. You can call between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, and you will be booked in for an initial assessment. Outside of office hours, you name and contact details can be left on the answerphone and they will call back. Please ask at reception if you are interested in this service.

They can arrange for you to speak with a mental health professional. They can also advise you about what service to contact to get the support you need.
