Travel Information
If you are planning to travel outside the UK, you may need to be vaccinated against some of the serious diseases found in other parts of the world. Vaccinations are available to protect you against infections.
Travel Vaccinations
Please visit or phone the surgery at least 8 weeks before travelling. You will need to complete an online form with the necessary information. After the practice nurse has reviewed this, you will receive a call from the admin team to book an appointment.
The following travel vaccines are available free from the surgery:
- Polio (given as a combined diphtheria/tetanus/polio jab)
- Typhoid
- Hepatitis A
- Cholera
You'll have to pay for travel vaccinations against:
- Hepatitis B
- Japanese encephalitis
- Meningitis
- Rabies
- Tick-borne encephalitis
- Tuberculosis (TB)
- ACWY
We do not provide vaccinations against yellow fever.
Speak to a GP before having any vaccinations if you are:
- Pregnant (or could be pregnant)
- Breastfeeding
